Future Funk week with First Class Collective & other releases
Future Funk week with First Class Collective
Today marks the first day of Future Funk week with the vapor label First Class Collective. Today they released their first album, Cupcake by M A R Iマリくん. Friday they’ll be releasing 2 cassettes so stay tuned to their bandcamp for more information.
I’m going on vacation for the rest of the week and won’t have internet until Sunday. I’ve set up Hootsuite to handle twitter posting of releases and youtube has one video coming out this Friday. See you in a week.
E T H E R E A L by Ｏｃｅａｎ Ｓｈｏｒｅｓ & 表面オーラ［ＬＯＣＡＬ］ (E T H E R E A L – LIMITED EDITION POSTER)
This is a great ambient / vocal sample based album. Cool thing is they made limited edition posters for this release and I wanted people to know about it.
Infinite Skies by マドロスMERCURY (Limited Edition Cassette)
Infinite Skies by マドロスMERCURY out on cassette still. limited 30 a great collection of future funk from a new artist to me. I really like the guitar on カップケーキブレーク
Forever by F i b o n a c c i (Forever and ever cassette version, 2nd Edition.)
A few more cassettes are available for this ambient you\’ll get 2 bonus tracks on the cassette not heard on bandcamp.
World Class by Luxury Elite (Cassette (3rd Edition, Ltd. 400))
This is crazy, I was just talking with Middle Class Comfort about this album in our interview today and now it gets a cassette release!
HDL N°01 by Hard Drive Library (VINYL)
Awesome vinyl pre-order of 4 tracks of pure house. I like how the first track is even sell aware of tropes found in house.
This is my first introduction to 操作57 [Operation57]. Typical vaporwave for the most part but the switch between samples and dark ambient trap is cool.
2 track EP, I really like the deep house feel of personal space.
Interesting concept album, a flamingo leaves the swamps and heads to the city. Shoot Out at Flamingo Plaza caught me off guard.
I picked up this disco album on accident. All the way from 2015, it’ll give you a good feel of what disco felt like a couple years back. All this needs is an anime mix and it’s pure future funk
