This is a collection of unreleased demos he produced between 2012 to 2018. A good representation of how he\’s evolved over the years. He may have left the scene to focus on mixtapes but it\’s cool we get this kind of release.
For those not familiar with his work, he had a couple of albums out on B O G U S // COLLECTIVE including this one and his more popular Anthology 98.6 FM. As well as a few music videos.
He may have not been one of the most popular artists in the scene but he had his fans and at least we got some closure on where he went and why after all these months.
assorted loops:vol. 1 [Re-Issue] by Dil Withers (assorted loops:vol.1 – HANDMADE LIMITED EDITION CASSETTE)
currently in a pre-order for an edition of 100. They only let you listen a single song that\’s got this hip-hop chilling in the woods with some birds feels.
JUST A SLICE by OLASEGUN (JUST A SLICE: HANDMADE LIMITED EDITION CASSETTE)
30 tracks of beautiful lo-fi hip-hop beats. All on cassette. I feel like this is a sick album to throw on in the background and enjoy a good read after dinner.
v2 skies by Alternate Skies (Limited Edition Cassette + Digital Download)
Another beautiful climatewave album by Alternative Skies. Two songs I recommend at Weather Settings and Sky_night_01. Limited cassette release.
[H006] 𝔓𝔬𝔰𝔱 𝔐𝔢𝔡𝔦𝔲𝔪 by OTHERM (Limited Edition C15 Cassette)
an edition of 50. This is an interesting collection of songs written all the way from 2011 until 2019. Includes vocials as well. I like it.
I wonder what the story is behind the album art. Easy listen chill dance mix of 5 tracks.
16 tracks mixed with lo-fi hip-hop (daine & Love Hurts sounds amazing btw). It\’s cool to see a different side of UNI DELUXE (btw, expect an interview between the two of us soon).
Japanese aesthetic ambient feel. Playing off the manga type \”shoujo\”, manga for young female audience. But tbh, it feels more mysterious than a romance.
Moving back into the ambient chill side of things. Another release, I\’m starting to see he\’s release 2 or 3 albums a day. Still don\’t know how he does it. I wish he promoted himself more instead of shotgun blasting his albums.
Not directly in our scene as it\’s (I think) k-pop remixes. Sounds like k-pop hits but the mashups over hype everything in a good way. I could see some of these started to be used in the club scene in sk.
