Ultimate Guide to Vaporwave Clothing / Shops
Outside of music and the deep faux message about capitalism there’s a truly unique aesthetic behind Vaporwave. A lot of artists, labels and brands cater to this design so here’s a list of Vaporwave clothing / shops I found that I am happy to support. If you want to add your shop to the list DM me on twitter.
Before we get into this, I am not affiliated or sponsored by any of these clothing lines. I am simply putting together a list of shops I found. I am the owner of Anti vapor vaporwave which is official shop of Musics the Hang Up.
Vaporwave/Future Funk Artists
The famous Tupperwave of the Future Funk and Vaporwave scene has his clothing line on point. Some of these designs look better than most labels and other brands, it’s amazing. You’ll also notice a few of his album artwork are the focus on some clothing, I like that. If you’re a fan of Tupperwave or haven’t heard his music yet, check him out and grab a shirt. Shop link
It seems like since day one 3D BLAST had his aesthetic down perfectly. It works great because thanks to the 3 lines red triangle I always can pick out his releases. The design goes great on these t-shirts and how kawaii is that anime eyes one <3. Shop link
V ▲ P Y D, vaporwave artist self proclaimed aesthetics aficionado has graciously designed various t-shirts, mugs and posters for in his vapor styling. Some of it looks more like album art than t-shirt designs but there’s a few jems in there. Store link
Frankjavcee, the one guy at 100% Electronicon I walked up to to introduce myself to and he didn’t know who I was or about Musics the Hang Up. Even Saint Pepsi knew who I was ffs. lol Regardless, love him or hate him, you gotta respect what Frankjavcee has done for the vaporwave community. I actually have an original downloaded copy of the “How to make Vaporwave” video because I was laughing so hard at it. Anyways.. He’s got some peak designs in his shop, so check it out. Shop link
Vaporwave music Producer VHS LOGOS has been around since the early days of vapor putting out countless albums and singles. He just released this t-shirt design and buying merch from artists are a great way to support them outside of their music. Shop link
Vaporwave legend and man behind vapor label, Sunset Grid, has one of the cutest anime chibis in the vapor scene. Usually we see anime mainly in the future funk world but now you can support the vapor anime rally by buying one of Bluescreens t-shirts. He has quite a few designs so totally check out the store shop here.
Ahero / Fashion Apparel
The artist pushing the boundaries of what vaporwave typically sounds like also has his own clothing line. There’s a great little video he put together for promotion, check that out here. I guess he’s calling the clothing brand Fashion Apparel but at the moment only hosts Ahero designs.
Vaporwave’s youngest power house label, First Class Collective has been releasing some amazing music. I love their excitement for the scene and of course their support of MTHU. The FFC official T-shirt is super mint with their airplane logo looking super class. For 17 USD, there’s no reason to not grab one. Store link
The label behind the world famous vaporwave fest, 100% Electronicon… the label behind George Clanton (or in front?)… the label that houses Equip, ESPRIT, FM Skyline, Negative Gemini, Satin Sheets, S u r f i n g, etc etc etc obviously would have the hottest clothing line in vapor. Just the label name alone surpasses any designers ability to portray what vaporwave is. Ok maybe I’m hyping it up a bit but damn does 100% Electronica push the boundaries of what vaporwave is capable of. You know you now want a T-shirt. Store link
DMT Tapes FL is a staple in the vaporwave scene with releasing over 800 and counting albums from various artists daily. Anyone in the scene knows how hard they work and even Pad Chennington put together a great video about them as a form of appreciation. They are doing incredible things for the scene and what better way to be part of their legacy than grabbing a hoodie. Store Link
Pacific Plaza Records is a huge support of the vaporwave scene, not only releasing some of the best artists on cassettes but the guys behind it are super chill and really doing everything they can to push the genre forward. They recently released thest custom hand made gradient logo T-shirts. Totally support these guys because they deserve it. Check out their cassettes/MiniCds while you’re at it. Shop link
Side note: I helped the owner crowd surf during Saint Pepsi’s set once @ 100% Electronicon
Vapor Brands / Other
I literally spent about 2.5 – 3 hours working on this list of vaporwave clothings brands. So If you enjoyed this kind of thing and want to support MTHU, of course you can support our vaporwave themed brand, Anti Vapor Vaporwave. It’s simple in design but fits right in with the anti fashion. Check it out here.
Had to put Weird Fuku after Anti Vapor Vaporwave to give respect to the original creator of anti theme in the vapor scene. Weird Fuku is run by Japanese Future Funk artist and DJ KissMeNerdyGirl. It was a treat to meet him in Tokyo a few month back and I’m happy to see he is still selling Anti Future Funk Funk clothes on his bandcamp. Shop link
Estetico (Pad Chennington)
Estetico is famous vapor YouTuber, Pad Chennington’s clothing brand. Not only does he produce unique estetico styled designs he is constantly teaming up with artists like DDS.wmv, Waterfront dining, Cat Sys Corp and more. That yello OBI SERIES design is mint and I saw a lot of em at 100% Electronicon, gotta grab one of those. Shop link
This might be more on the vapormeme side of things but I actually think that Vapour Skeleton design looks pretty cool. Most designs come in hoodie, long sleeve and stickers. But what’s Joshwave? Shop link
A1 Method is a mix of original A1 designs and Seaside Tapes (vaporwave label). I’ve always liked Seaside Tapes logo, cool to see you can get it on black. Shop link
Vapor95 iss probably the most refined and forward moving vapor fashion label. Looking at their site, it looks like they are a full fledge company with outstanding designers that really took the aesthetic of vaporwave to that next level. The prices are a bit high but you’re paying for quality. Pad Chennington is even sponsored by them, so you know they’re good for it. Shop link
More on the generic “everyone can wear vaporwave” design style, this is for your every man who sees sunsets, 80s and MTV as the backbone of Vaporwave instead of the artists. Not that this is a bad thing at all because the designs are really clean and who wouldn’t want a vaporwave playstation logo T-shirt? I know I do. Shop link
